My name is Margaret Sheehan and my organization, Teachers’ Treasures is participating in Indy Do Day for this project: Store and Surrounding Area Beautification; STEM Material Development; Store Operations Support – Inventory, Stocking, and Product Prep

This is what we hope to accomplish:

Through the STEM product development, we are intent on creating 400 sets of Math Flash Cards for elementary classrooms and 100 sets of manipulatives repurposing bottle caps into classroom activities for elementary teachers. The beautification project begins with an entire deep clean up of the area surrounding Teachers’ Treasures, a prepping of outdoor and indoor areas for painting and overall improvement, and some painting. Inside the store, volunteers will be helping with a large inventory project for an upcoming mobile outreach initiative which will impact 18 schools and thousands of students.

We will be working on: Thursday, September 29. There will be 105 volunteers and around 380 total hours worked. We are also providing the following skills to help with our project: Clerical, Cleaning, Landscaping, Painting, Artistic Help, Remove Debris, Learning/Education
